The European Quality Assurance for Social Services (EQUASS) assures a level of performance on the Principles of Excellence and the core criteria of the Common Quality Assurance Framework (CQAF) and the key features for quality of the Disability High Level Group.

It also assures running an operational Quality Management System which is one of the basic requirements for the European Quality Mark in Rehabilitation (EQRM), a mark of certifying excellence performance in service provision.

The EQUASS can be applied at both the system and the provider levels and can therefore be used to assess the effectiveness of service provider.
