Jan Spooren

General Secretary

Jan Spooren is responsible for the overall management of the EPR secretariat, activities and finances. Jan Spooren develops the EPR strategy, supervises the implementation and progress of the various initiatives, monitors and evaluates the Centre Action Plans. He also oversees EPR’s work in the area of Public Affairs and European projects. The General Secretary dedicates some of his time to external consultancy activities generating income for EPR. He reports to the Executive Committee and to the Board of Directors.

Simona Giarratano 

Public Affairs Officer

Simona Giarratano joined the EPR secretariat in June 2008 as Public Affairs Officer. She supports the Public Affairs Pillar of EPR in a broad remit of roles and responsibilities. She develops and implements EPR’s lobby strategy and develops contacts with key stakeholders. Simona Giarratano is in charge of producing position papers and policy analysis reports and liaises between EPR and its members.

Nadège Jibassia

Project Coordinator

Nadège Jibassia has been working for 5 years in the EPR secretariat. Her main responsibilities include the coordination of European projects, the planning and implementation of EPR activities and events, and contribution to the centres' needs assessment. As the person in charge of EPR’s Knowledge Management Centre she has been responsible for the content and quality assurance of the system and for facilitating the work of a group of 20 international KMC administrators. Her experience in the secretariat and knowledge of the network make of her a key person of contact towards EPR members.

Sarah De Roeck

Financial Administrator/ Office Manager

Sarah De Roeck is in charge of all financial aspects of EPR, including the financial reporting and administration of the European projects such as Opti-Work, PROVET and EQUAVET. She also supports EPR’s EQUASS initiatives. In addition to these financial duties and her administrative responsibilities for the human resources of the organisation, Sarah De Roeck provides valuable support in the planning of events and meetings. With her native English she also contributes crucial editing skills to all EPR publications and materials.

Claude Delfosse

Project Assistant

Claude Delfosse, who joined the EPR secretariat in October 2008 as an Intern, has been recruited as Project Assistant throught the end of 2010 to assist in the recent growth of EPR activities and projects. She provides invaluable support for the implementation of EPR activities, the coordination of European projects and the organisations of EPR meetings. Her tasks also include research and provision of information on topics of EPR members' interest.

Julie Buttier

Communications & PR Assistant

Julie Buttier was recruited in the EPR in November 2009, following a six-month internship at the EQUASS unit. As Communications and Public Relations Assistant, she is responsible for all communications aspects of the EPR and EQUASS, including website management, and she provides organisational support for various events, conferences and trainings.

Noé Viedma

EPR Intern

Noé Viedma joined the EPR Secretariat in January 2010 as EPR Intern, where he supports the overall functioning of the Secretariat with a special focus on projects and financial administration.

Eleanor Brown

EQUASS Coordinator

Eleanor Brown joined the EPR in February 2010 to take over the position of EQUASS Coordinator. She plays a major role in the management and coordination of all EQUASS activities, in particular the certification process. Her duties also include sales and business development,  communication with clients, partners and auditors, and supporting of meetings of the European Awarding Committee. A British native, Eleanor has extensive experience in business and project management and is a welcome new addition to the EQUASS family.

Guus van Beek

EQUASS Executive Manager

Guus van Beek is EPR’s quality expert responsible for the development and running of the newly re-branded EQUASS (European Quality in Social Services). He is in charge of the management of audits, initiation programmes, trainings and certification. Guus van Beek also provides consultancy to external organisations interested in EQUASS. In 2007, Guus van Beek acted as manager of the EQUAVET project.

Jan Albers

Senior Expert

Jan Albers is involved in the design and implementation of the Centre Action Plans. He acts as a facilitator for various Discussion and Learning Groups and provides expert input in EPR strategic documents. Jan Albers has also been tasked to assist EPR to develop its enlargement strategy.

Donal McAnaney

Senior Expert

Donal for website.JPG

Donal McAnaney provides extensive expertise in EPR involvement in consultancy activities and in European projects. He worked actively on the modelling of disabilities polices in Portugal and in Russia and on the building of social services in Romania. Donal McAnaney also leads EPR Learning Groups and contributes to other CAP activities. He is a regular speaker at EPR events.

Dimitri Fatralis

IT Expert

Dimitri Fatralis is in charge of the IT and communication infrastructure and functioning in the EPR secretariat. He advises on the operation of the EPR website and provides essential trouble-shooting support.
