EPR Strategy

The economic crisis had and will continue to have a tremendous impact on the entire social services sector in Europe. It requires from service providers an increased ability to develop innovative solutions in order to ensure the quality, universality and affordability of their services. An adapted and relevant strategic plan is therefore more than ever an essential tool for the EPR network to modernise its activities and to develop even more focused and cost-effective services.
On 10 November 2011, the EPR Board of Directors unanimously approved the Strategic Plan 2012-2014, under the motto 'Leading change and innovation in a rights-based and market-driven disability environment'. This plan will guide the activities of EPR during the upcoming years and will be regularly evaluated according to both quantitative and qualitative criteria.

Centre Action Plan concept

Most European networks today have understood that membership in itself is no longer sufficient, but that tangible outcomes and benefits are expected. Therefore, EPR aims to act as a consultant to its own full members by using the concept of ‘Centre Action Plan’ (CAP). The CAP defines in an explicit way what a centre wishes to get out of EPR membership and describes each action to be taken in order to achieve the centre’s objectives. Each CAP strives for a balance between joint activities attended by several EPR members, and individual activities designed specifically for one centre. For a complete overview of the CAPs evolution since 2005, please refer to the Annual Reports section.
