EPR Activities

EPR has three Pillars of Activities - Professional Development, Research & Innovation and Public Affairs - that reflect the objectives of the mission statement. The Pillars are closely interlinked, which facilitates cross-fertilisation and ensures the coherence of all EPR activities. Within each Pillar, there is a 'Menu of standard services and opportunities' available for all EPR member organisations. These standard services are 'offer-driven', in the sense that they are developed by the EPR Secretariat and made available for every professional. At a second level the EPR offers for its full members a 'Centre Action Plan' (CAP) which explicitely defines what a centre wishes to gain from its EPR membership and describes each action to be taken in order to achieve the centre's objectives.

This demand-driven and individualised approach starts from an in-house assessment and contains activities throughout the three Pillars. At the external level, the three Pillars address the entire disability sector, including non-member service providers as well as policy-makers. Within these different activities, the secretariat plays a facilitation and coordination role.
