Berufsbildungswerk Neckargemünd gGmbH
A subsidiary of the SRH-Holding (SdbR)
The Berufsbildungswerk Neckargemünd is a company offering off-the-job vocational training for young people who need special support. The services it provides include a broad range of in-patient and out-patient measures of vocational rehabilitation, youth welfare and job placement. These services are rounded off by medical, therapeutic and psychological care.
The Berufsbildungswerk Neckargemünd, located approx. 12 km from the university city of Heidelberg, was established in 1974 and employs about 400 employees. It offers more than 600 places in educational programmes for more than 35 officially-recognised careers in business and administration, electronics, mechanics and construction. In addition, there are places available in career-orientation programmes, places in programmes that prepare for jobs, places in programmes by the youth welfare service and places in the two-year programme offered by our technical school for industrial and technical professions. At present we educate about 40 severely disabled young people via e-learning and blended learning. These pupils attend the programme as distance learners in their virtual classroom at home and become clerks with a specialisation in “tele-working”.
The Berufsbildungswerk Neckargemünd considers itself a regional and national competence centre for professional education and integral promotion and provides the following expert services:
- assessment systems - job market oriented basic education for young people who require special support - extra-curricular complementary work qualification - job placement and work training - innovative models in the basic education of severely disabled young people
