Centre de Réadaptation de Mulhouse
The 'Centre de Réadaptation de Mulhouse' (CRM) was set up in 1946 by the Association for the Rehabilitation of Disabled People. Since then it has developed into one of the largest centres in France for vocational rehabilitation. Today CRM employs approximately 421 staff from which 16% are people with disabilities.
The multi-disciplinary teams provide functional and professional rehabilitation mainly for adults with spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, hemiplegics, orthopaedic and rheumatological diseases and guide them through the whole rehabilitation process. A range of additional facilities are available to clients, in particular sports facilities. CRM also has a documentation and information department on employment, as well as accessibility and technical aids for people with disabilities.
Internationally, CRM became known because of its Modular Individualised Training System (SMIF) which attracted a lot of interest from foreign institutions. CRM is also involved in some international projects and co-operations and is the first centre in France to be certified in a quality process ISO 9001 version 2000. The CRM has also obtained the EQRM mark for the Traumatic Brain Injury Department in December 2004.
Further information on the CRM is available on the website www.arfp.asso.fr
