RehabCare
Founded in 1995, RehabCare in Ireland provides a wide variety of responsive health and social care services that facilitate reintegration in the local community. Each year more than 2,600 people take advantage of these services, which range from resource centre activities to care work delivered in people's homes.The clients include people with disabilities and their families, older people, children, people who have been long-term unemployed and those who wish to find jobs in the health and social care sector.
Substantial project work is being carried out in Autism, Rare Disorders, Prader Willi Syndrome, Elderly, Traumatic Brain Injury, Mental Health Services, Respite Models of Care, Physical and Sensory Resource Centre Model.
RehabCare is also operating centres in the UK which delivers innovative, individually tailored programmes which provide clients with the necessary skills and support to move forward in their lives. These include vocational skills and the opportunity to study for recognised qualifications in areas such as IT, catering, retail and others. They also provide training in assistive and adaptive technology to enable disabled people to use computers to help them live more independently.
