Pluryn
Pluryn is an organisation that provides care and support to approximately 2200 persons with physical, cognitive, intellectual or multiple limitations. The head-office is based in Oosterbeek, just west of the city of Arnhem. The establishments are spread throughout the provinces of Gelderland, Noord-Brabant, Limburg and Utrecht. Pluryn offers support in all the aspects of daily life but only to the extent to which its clients need this support in the field of education and training, in job- (re)integration, with regard to housing, domestic affairs and personal care as well as in aspects of leisure time.
In July 2002, Pluryn originated as a merger organisation out of six separate centres, all with their own expertise and knowledge. Apart from strictly medical treatment, Pluryn can offer answers to almost all the needs of handicapped people concerning a lot of aspects of their daily life and work. Together with the efforts of its clients and their personal support-circles, support is always aimed at creating the best possible conditions for participation in society and for quality of life. To the largest possible extent Pluryn aims to facilitate its clients in order to design their own personal life and to manage their own affairs.
As a full member of the European Platform for Rehabilitation, Pluryn is in contact and co-operation with a number of colleague-organisations abroad both within and outside the EPR framework.
