Astangu Rehabilitation Centre

The Astangu Rehabilitation Centre was founded in 1995 and is the only public centre in Estonia providing social and vocational rehabilitation to persons with all kinds of disabilities. The main goal of the Astangu Rehabilitation Centre, and its 122 employees, is to support the social and vocational integration of people with disabilities.

Astangu's services consist of:

• information provision on rehabilitative training and education opportunities for people with disabilities
• assessment of capabilities and planning of individual training programmes for clients
• monitoring the need for social, medical and vocational rehabilitation medical, special pedagogical and psychological services to individuals and groups
• counselling in vocational and career planning for people with disabilities

The Astangu Rehabilitation Centre also delivers courses (furniture restoration, light garment, bakery/ confectionery, cleaning services) of three years to young people with learning difficulties and special educational needs.
