EPR Annual Conference 2027

The EPR Annual Conference 2027 will take place on 10-11 June in Jūrmala, Latvia, and will be organised in collaboration with our Latvian member The Social Integration State Agency (SIVA) – a direct governing institution under the supervision of the Latvian Minister of Welfare, with the aims of promoting the social integration of people with disabilities and persons with functional disorders, to provide access to vocational rehabilitation and to vocational secondary or first-level vocational higher education within the country.

Aims of the Conference

EPR Annual Conferences are central events for our network, bringing together all EPR members as well as key sectoral stakeholders and expert speakers to discuss and debate new policies, strategies and practices. Alongside interactive plenary sessions and high-level speakers, workshops enable participants to examine and apply theories, service models or engage with new trends. Good practices and innovations from among the members are also showcased. They aim to:

  • To empower service providers to take a leading role in shaping the future of disability and rehabilitation services;
  • To explore innovative solutions that enhance quality, efficiency, and accessibility in service delivery;
  • To align service provision with emerging EU policies and funding opportunities;
  • To foster peer learning and networking among EPR members, EU institutions, and key stakeholders.

Venue

The Conference will take place at SIVA College, a higher education institution that combines professional education with vocational rehabilitation and support for persons with disabilities and functional impairments. It provides an accessible and supportive learning environment where students can develop professional skills, gain qualifications and receive multidisciplinary support to strengthen their opportunities for participation in the labour market. Its programmes include short-cycle professional higher education as well as Latvia’s only state-funded programme leading to a qualification as a Latvian Sign Language interpreter.

SIVA Hotel

30 min walking to the AC venue / SIVA transportation can be organised

SIVA Hotel is located within the Social Integration State Agency’s rehabilitation complex in a quiet area of Jūrmala, close to the Baltic Sea. The premises and accessible rooms are designed to be accessible for people with functional and mobility impairments.
