LINC Life Project – Closing conference

Discover the LINC Life Project

This initiative involves 6 participating organisations across the EU: GTB (Belgium); Theotokos (Greece); Orchardville (United Kingdom); Vates Foundation (Finland); Activa (Sweden), Malta Federation of Organisations Persons with Disability (Malta).

The main goal was to create a set of modules that will assist persons with an intellectual disability to engage in independent living. This has been achieved by focusing on the current need to enhance communication, literacy and numeracy skills of persons with an intellectual impairment so that they will have the means to be fully integrated within the social and economic national frameworks and also to be able to realize their inherent rights for independent living.

The modules addressed the following themes:

  • Leisure
  • Health
  • Work
  • Community
  • Household
  • Mobility

The event saw the presentation of the project and its impact, followed by breakout rooms discussing the different modules in more detail. Participants could choose which group to join. The programme can be found below.
