As digital technologies and artificial intelligence increasingly shape education, employment and participation in society, it is essential to ensure that women and girls with disabilities are not left behind. However, they continue to face multiple and intersecting barriers linked to both gender and disability, which limit their access to digital skills, Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) pathways, quality employment and leadership opportunities in the technology sector.
This joint webinar between the European Platform for Rehabilitation (EPR) and the European Disability Forum (EDF) aims to explore both the challenges and opportunities that digitalisation and AI present for women and girls with disabilities. Bringing together service providers, policymakers, and experts with lived experience, the discussion will connect evidence from EPR’s research on digital inclusion and equal opportunities with EDF’s ongoing work on women with disabilities and artificial intelligence.
