European Commission 2020 Work Programme
The new European Commission adopted its 2020 Work Programme on 29 January 2020. The Programme sets out the actions the Commission will take in 2020 in an effort to transform the Political guidelines of President von der Leyen into real benefits for European citizens, businesses and society. To support this, the President quoted, ‘We are committed to deliver on the European Green Deal and improve chances for European citizens and businesses in the digital transformation.’ The programme also containes ideas on a strong social Europe which includes proposals for a guaranteed fair minimum wage for workers in the EU, for a European unemployment reinsurance scheme, initiatives to ensure effective and fair taxation, a European Child Guarantee including all children having access to basic services, and will reinforce the Youth Guarantee of supporting education of young people to further their professional lives.

EQUASS
The European Quality in Social Services (EQUASS) is an initiative of the European Platform for Rehabilitation (EPR). EQUASS enhances the social sector by engaging social service providers in continuous improvement, learning and development, in order to guarantee service users quality of services throughout Europe.
