The European Commission approves proposal for a Thematic Network on ‘Mental Health in all Policies’

The European Commission approved the establishment of a new Thematic Network on mental health on its EU Health Policy Platform for next year. The EU Health Policy Platform is an interactive tool to promote discussions about public health issues and exchange knowledge and good practices. The Platform has several Thematic Networks which bring together stakeholders willing to discuss and produce joint statements on a specific health topic. The Thematic Network “Mental Health in all policies” aims to promote a comprehensive understanding of mental health and encourage EU countries to adopt a mental health-in-all-policies approach in all sectors, including education, welfare and housing. The proposal was made by Mental Health Europe, together with a series of partners including EPR. Interested stakeholders can join the EU Health Policy Platform network, follow the exchanges and join upcoming webinars.
