New EU funded Project to boost jobs for Persons with Disabilities

On 23 and 24 September, the heart of Brussels hosted the launch of SUPPORT, a new ESF+ initiative coordinated by EASPD.

This ambitious project addresses one of the most pressing challenges in Europe: breaking down the barriers that keep too many persons with disabilities out of the open labour market.

SUPPORT’s mission is to help more people with disabilities into jobs and ensure they thrive once hired. How? By scaling up and sharing the best of Supported Employment practices across Europe, combining immediate job placements with long-term, tailored support.

The kick-off brought together 15 partners from 9 countries, united by one goal: turning innovative ideas into real opportunities. With their combined expertise, the project promises to create meaningful change and open doors to employment for many more across the EU.
