Belgian Presidency calls for better EU regulations to prevent psychosocial risks at work

On January 30-31st, the Belgian Presidency of the EU organised a high-level conference on mental health in relation to work taking place in Brussels, Belgium where policy-makers, national governments representatives, social partners and occupational health and safety experts discussed how to support people’s mental health by working on prevention of psychosocial risk occurring at the workplace at different levels. 

The conference focused on the prevention of psychosocial risks, stress and burnout at work as well as on creation of an inclusive labour market for people with mental health disabilities. During the conference stakeholders discussed the possible ways for an adoption of an integrated approach for preventing incapacity to work due to mental health issues.
