On the 18th of April, the Commission adopted two new proposals to be submitted to the Council concerning the European Year of Skills. Although some progress has been made towards digitalisation and training, the Commission identified that Member States are facing difficulties in allocating enough investment in digital education, training and infrastructures. Shortages of qualified personnel and equipment are added to the equation. The Commission’s proposals strive to improve educational programs and the whole-of-government approach to digital education and training.
