EPR held its Annual Conference in Dublin
EPR Annual Conference took place in Dublin on the 22-23 of September. The Conference was moderated by one of Ireland’s finest broadcasters Karen Coleman and addressed the role of services in implementing the EU Disability Strategy, exploring its opportunities and main challenges. Participants had the opportunity to listen to and exchange views with distinguished representatives of the Irish parliament, European service providers and organisations, including the EU Fundamental Right’s Agency and the UN Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women, as well as to participate in workshops and group discussions on topics such as employment of persons with disabilities, ageing and assistive technologies. The one and a half day event was closed by Jack Kavanagh, who shared his personal experience in an inspiring speech on building resilience and embracing diversity.
