European Commission drafts a legislative proposal for EU-wide Disability Card
Paving the way for equality the European Commission came up with a groundbreaking legislative proposal for implementation of European-wide Disability Card – special card that recognises a disability status of a person travelling abroad and grants this person equal access to special conditions and preferential treatment in public and private services, including for instance: public transport, cultural events, museums, leisure and sport centres or amusement parks. This card is going to be issued by the national competent authorities and complement existing national disability cards or certificates;
