Workshop: The Quality-of-Life Impact of Disability Services Understanding it, measuring it and enhancing it

Online 13 December 2023, 11.00 – 13.00 CET

About the workshop

In the realm of disability services, the pursuit of understanding, measuring, and enhancing the quality of life (QoL) for individuals with disabilities takes center stage. Welcome to “The Quality-of-Life Impact of Disability Services” conference, a platform designed to explore the multifaceted dimensions of QoL in this dynamic landscape.

Within the intricate web of Vocational Education and Training (VET) and Community Care services, the impact on lives is profound. Being inspired by the journey initiated in November 2020 by the QOLIVET Project, this workshop wants to contribute to the ongoing dialogue surrounding disability services.

In navigating the challenges and opportunities, innovative approaches have emerged, resulting in tangible outcomes such as the Good Practice Guidelines on enhancing the Quality of Life Impact of Services, the Quality of Life Impact Assessment Tool (QIAT) and the QOLISERV.EU platform.

“The Quality-of-Life Impact of Disability Services” transcends individual projects, fostering a dialogue that delves into the intricate layers of the quality of life experienced by the clients of service providers. Participants are invited to share insights, explore effective measures, and collectively contribute to the discussion.

This workshop is designed for professionals working in services dedicated to individuals with disabilities, managers of these services, and policymakers in the field of social inclusion and support for people with disabilities.

The workshop will be led by the expert Donal McAnaneyAdjunct Professor Pacific Coast University for Workplace Health Sciences
