In September the World Health Organisation (WHO) published a new set of guidelines and a policy brief on mental health at work. The guidelines provide evidence-based recommendations to promote mental health, prevent mental health conditions, and enable people living with mental health issues to participate and thrive in work. Among the topics covered there are organisational interventions, manager training and worker training, individual interventions and return to work. The policy brief was developed jointly by WHO and the International Labour Organisation and provides a pragmatic framework for implementing the guidelines.
EPR has a working group on mental health and in June 2022 organised a National Awareness Raising Event in the Netherlands on mental health in employment and ways to support professionals working with people with mental health issues and disabilities.
