ONCE Foundation and the Spanish Biodiversity Foundation promote green jobs training for persons with disabilities

ONCE Foundation has launched a new training initiative under the Green Employment Programme of the Spanish Biodiversity Foundation (Empleaverde+), an entity belonging to the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge. The project, titled “Leaving No One Behind: Green Skills for Persons with Disabilities,” aims to harness the opportunities of the green transition to create quality employment for persons with disabilities.

Three free courses will begin in September: Energy Advisor; Gardening, Urban Trees and Green Envelopes; and Sustainable Entrepreneurship: Tools for the Circular Economy. These programs are co-funded by the ESF+ through the Green Employment Programme of the Biodiversity Foundation. The training combines technical knowledge with practical experience and includes modules on equality and inclusive business practices.

The courses are expected to train nearly 200 participants across multiple groups through late 2026. While the Energy Advisor course focuses on household energy management and sales techniques, the Gardening course develops skills in green space maintenance and green infrastructure. The Sustainable Entrepreneurship course, delivered online, supports active professionals and entrepreneurs in applying circular economy principles to their businesses.
