Particip.Age Project’s First Module Launch in Valladolid

On the 16th and 17th of April service providers’ staff and project’s partners of Particip.Age project met in Valladolid (Spain) to pilot Module 1 of the online training course for staff working with ageing people with disabilities. The module was related to community engagement, communication for advocacy and team collaboration. During this in person meeting, staff worked jointly to collect input for the development of Modules 2 focused on empowerment & self confidence and Module 3 focused on communication with staff. In parallel, training modules are under development for ageing people with disabilities to improve their social skills and relationship with staff.

On April 16th and 17th, various service providers and project partners of the Particip.Age initiative gathered in Valladolid, Spain, to pilot the first module of an innovative online training course. This course is designed specifically for those working with aging individuals with disabilities. The kick-off module focused on community engagement, advocacy communication, and team collaboration.

During this dynamic in-person event, participants collaborated to gather valuable insights for the development of upcoming modules for staff. Module 2 will delve into empowerment and self-confidence, while Module 3 will enhance communication between staff members.

Simultaneously, tailored training modules are being crafted for aging individuals with disabilities to boost their social skills and improve their interactions with staff.
