Third country Social and care service professionals: Unlocking the job creation potential of social services

The study was co-commissioned with members of Social Services Europe. EPR develops analysis and advocacy on policy and initiatives at EU level that affect the social services sector. The social services sector as defined by the European Commission covers employment and training services, social housing, child care, long-term care and social assistance services. In this study, EPR has collaborated with other Social Services Europe members to focus on four key issues:

  • Demographic changes and their impact on care needs
  • The role played by social services as job creator in Europe
  •  The role played by migrants in the care sector in Europe
  • Policy and good practices to support and enhance the job creation potential for migrants
