The European Parliament approves the creation of new “Accessible EU Centre”

In October, the Euro­pean Par­lia­ment approved a new Acces­si­ble EU Cen­tre. The creation of the Accessible EU Centre is a flagship initiative of the European Strategy for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities 2021-2030 which aims to bring together national authorities responsible for implementing accessibility rules with experts of accessibility, in order to harmonise accessibility policies among Member States and to facilitate access to relevant knowledge. The Centre should also strengthen cooperation among all involved actors and promote training on accessibility to increase expertise.
