EPR study visits offer valuable opportunities for mutual learning. By visiting specific rehabilitation centres and/or EPR member organisations within our network, members gain first-hand insight into each other’s work and explore effective approaches to shared challenges. The study visits are organised as part of the annual programmes of some of the Working Groups, as well as stand-alone activities within the European Pillar of Social Rights framework, focusing each year on one of the twenty principles the Pillar has.

2025

INTEREHA Working Group Study Visit to Fundación INTRAS
On 13-14 November, the EPR INTEREHA Working Group – led by Fondazione Don Gnocchi – came together in Valladolid, Spain for an enriching Study Visit hosted by EPR member Fundación INTRAS.

United by a shared commitment to advancing tech-based solutions in rehabilitation, participants immersed themselves in INTRAS’ work in the field through:
  • A multisensory experience session
  • An in-depth presentation of their Living Lab
  • Hands-on technology testing and demonstrations

During the visit, members worked to finalise a set of policy recommendations shaped by the Working Group’s activities throughout 2024–2025. These recommendations reflect the key messages that emerged over the years, structured around five perspectives of technology adoption in rehabilitation:

  1. Current R&D trends
  2. Opportunities & challenges in daily practice
  3. Policy & regulation
  4. Sustainability
  5. Collaboration with industry

Each recommendation targets one or more decision-making levels – European, national, regional or local – to support meaningful and practical impact.
