Public Webinar: AI for the delivery of services for persons with disabilities

Online 17 December 2025, 14:00 - 16:00 CET

*This webinar is open to the public.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has exponentially developed in the past years and, in response, the EU has developed new policies and strategies around this technology. The AI Act, which entered into force in 2024, classifies AI systems into different risk categories including prohibited, high-risk, and those subject to transparency obligations and sets requirements for each kind. Its goal: to ensure high levels of health, safety and fundamental rights protection. The AI Continent Action Plan released in April 2024 aims to make the EU a global leader in the AI sector, and it includes the Apply AI Strategy within its initiatives. The Apply AI Strategy aims to boost AI adoption in 10 key industry sectors, including healthcare and pharmaceuticals, as well as in the public sector (including education).

This webinar will address the following questions:

  • What is/ will be the impact of existing and upcoming EU AI policy on services for persons with disabilities and service users/ clients?
  • How are services for persons with disabilities implementing AI in their day-to-day? How can AI support services for persons with disabilities mitigate challenges such as staff shortages? What challenges do EPR members experience, and what good practices can they share to overcome them?
