Youth Working Group study visit

Athens, Greece 22-23 May 2024

The aim of this study visit is to discover Theotokos Foundation services together with allowing the participants to exchange about their organizations, services and activities.

Theotokos Foundation

Theotokos Foundation is a non-profit welfare organisation (private law entity). It was established in 1954 and it is supervised by the Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Welfare. Services are tailored for children and young adults with intellectual developmental disorders and autism spectrum disorders, as well as to their families in order to ensure equal rights to life and to employment. Theotokos aims to evolve into an exemplary assessment, education and rehabilitation organsation in Greece and Europe, and have a central and essential role in the creation of a world where persons with intellectual developmental disorders and autism spectrum disorders will have equal rights in life and work.

Study Visit

The study visit invites members of the Working Group Youth to explore the daily services and activities offered at Theotokos, including meetings with service users and service workers in various departments. The programme will provide opportunities for exchange of ideas and good practices also with representatives of other organisations active in services for people with disabilities in Greece.
