EPR-led Equal Treatment Project is a Zero Project Awardee

We are proud to share that the EPR-led Equal Treatment Project has been announced as a Zero Project Awardee for its work in advancing cross-sector partnerships to improve healthcare access for people with intellectual disabilities!

This year’s awards focus on Accessibility, Inclusive ICT, and Crisis Response, with Equal Treatment standing out for tackling one of the most persistent inequalities in Europe today: the lack of equal access to secondary and tertiary healthcare for people with intellectual disabilities.

The project developed:
– An EU-wide study on rights and barriers to healthcare
– A self-learning course for healthcare professionals on effective communication and adjustments
– A training pathway for professional supporters who act as intermediaries

Awardees will be recognised during the 2026 Zero Project Conference #ZeroCon26, taking place at the United Nations Office at Vienna from the 18-20 February, 2026.

We thank our project partners, without whose contribution and work this would not have been possible without: MARGARITA VTC I Tampere University of Applied Sciences I Kauno Kolegija I ICERCA – Centres de Recerca de Catalunya I Research Center of Biopolitics of Panteion University (RECEBI) I Arnau d’Escala Campus Foundation (FCAE)
