At the end of April, the European Commission declared the winners of the second European Capitals of Inclusion and Diversity Award. The Award was established last year with the idea of praising and sponsoring the practices of the winners. The Award is granted to those European local and regional authorities which are successfully promoting inclusion of those categories historically excluded or discriminated against racial, ethnic, religious, belief, sex, disability and sexual orientation reasons.
