Mental Health: Mutual Learning and Study Visit Event

Tralee, Ireland 25-26 June 2018

EPR was pleased to invite all our members to an event on mental health organised in collaboration with Rehab Group and hosted by the NLN Kerry. The event took take place on 25th and 26th of June 2018 in Tralee, a beautiful part of Ireland.

The programme for this event was developed using the inputs from the EPR Working Group on Mental Health and our Irish co-organisers.

The main topics of this event were:

  • Models of recovery/well-being for people with mental health conditions;
  • Engaging and educating key stakeholders in the health, social, and educational sector, including families, on both the models of recovery and evidence base for using the recovery approach;
  • Outcomes measurement tools/strategies to monitor the recovery progress;
  • Delivery of MH service in rural areas.

In addition to mutual learning and interactive sessions, this event was an opportunity to visit and learn more about the services provided by NLN Kerry and Rehab Care Kerry. Donal McAnaney, our expert in the Service Impacts on Quality of Life group, also presented on recovery models.
