Mission & Vision

Aura Foundation is a non-profit organisation that was created in 1989 and has been providing high quality services ever since. Aura has been the first programme of Supported Employment in Spain and Supported Living and Working since 2003. They are pioneer in the implementation and development of this methodology in their country, through which they implement and carry out their mission: to help increase the quality of life of people with intellectual disabilities through social and employment inclusion, using the Supported Employment Mthodology.

Aura’s most important asset has been their ability to give participant confidence in their own abilities and in their possibilities of change and improvement. Aura’s value are based on respecting the individual differences of each person, their commitment to their mission, the participants and their families and having innovative and positive spirit. Aura values the person as unique and believes in their abilities, promoting them to their utmost in their personal, social and working environments.

Areas of excellence and innovative services

• Initial Aura: a pre-program for job training and complementary to school training or the realization of PFIS, labour integration.
• Spaces where participants can debate and defend their rights and interest whilst promoting and fostering self management and self representation.
• Neuropsychology program: studying and conducting a longitudinal follow-up of the neuropsychological characteristics of their participants.
• HABITAT program: training in domestic independence.
• Digital training with NeuronUP, a personalized cognitive stimulation program.
