  • Employability and Inclusion

Social and rehabilitation services

  • Community Inclusion Services which support children, young people and adults to explore their interests, plan for the future and become more independent, both at home and in their community.  These services support individuals and families by providing services such as short breaks and Autism specialist activities.
  • Training and Employment Services which support adults to gain qualifications and develop the skills required to find a job or to get involved in their community. These services also support people across NI to sustain work through a supported employment model of service.
  • Accommodation and Housing Support services which provide accommodation services ranging from technology enriched apartments designed to support people with physical disability/brain injury to live more independently to Positive Behaviour Support projects that create the opportunity for community living for individuals with learning disability and mental health conditions whose behaviour can be challenging and complex.

Areas of excellence and innovative services

Cedar is committed to a rights-based approach to disability through the design and delivery of innovative services, rooted in the principles of UNCRPD, and which are co-produced with the individuals and families we support.  We are actively engaged in the utilisation of Outcome Based approaches to demonstrate the impact of our work.  In line with our Vision and Mission, all our services are developed using co-production methodology in partnership with our service users. This is complemented by our comprehensive staff development programmes aimed at building resilient staff teams.  We also have a bespoke Leadership and Management Development programme to ensure our Leaders and Managers are role models of our values. This enables us to deliver on our Charter of Rights for service Users and our Leadership and Management Charter.

Cedar & Quality

Cedar has played a leading role in the application of a range of quality initiatives in the voluntary sector in Northern Ireland.  We are an Investors in People Platinum organisation and hold the Investing in Volunteers standard.  All our services are accredited to the ISO 9001:2015 standard and we are previous winners of the EFQM European Excellence Award.
