Autherapies

The project

AUTHERAPIES is an ERASMUS+ funded project with the aim of critically examining, improving, and promoting therapies for people on the Autism Spectrum.

Background

Firstly, AUTHERAPIES will collect a review of evidence-based therapies for people on the Autism Spectrum, and find an agreement on the skills needed to then develop a training course for people with autism, family members, and active and trainee professionals. In addition, AUTHERAPIES will carry out a dissemination and awareness campaign to generate a debate in Europe and promote the use of evidence-based therapies for and approved by people on the Autism Spectrum.

Objectives

Main Objective:

Improve the competencies of people with autism, their families, and professionals, both in training and in practice, in choosing evidence-based therapies and interventions.

Specific Objectives:

  • Improve the competencies of people with autism, their relatives, and professionals, both active and in training;
  • Develop therapies and interventions that are evidence-based;
  • Develop training tools that are responsive to the needs of the user;
  • Raise awareness of the existence of training tools and create critical thinking at the European level to promote the use of therapies for autism;
