VOLT is an Erasmus + project that aims to develop basic digital skills and competences in VET staff providing services to people with disabilities for implementing online and distance teaching and training. The project also focus on improving and equipping VET staff with knowledge and skills based on the Universal Design for Learning and the Video Modeling methodologies, and engaging learners in the use of digital tools by producing video content for the VOLT platform.
The project is led by Theotokos Foundation and implemented together with 4-four organisations including: the European Platform for Rehabilitation (Belgium), INTRAS Foundation (Spain), Mariaberg e.V. (Germany) and Rehab Group (Ireland).
The VOLT kick-off meeting was organized online by the Lead Partner, Theotokos Foundation, on April 6th, 2022. The meeting gave an overview of the project’s objectives and results. All partners participants contributed to a brainstorming activity where the structure of the ‘Video Skills Self-Assessment’ questionnaire. The final version was circulated by the project partners to their staff members and EPR to their member organisations.
At the end of May, project partners met in person in Dublin (Ireland) for the second transnational project partners meeting. The focus of the meeting was the development of PR1, Guide for VET staff: Teaching and Training through Videos in distance learning. During the TPM2 in Dublin, partners identified the content of the Guide for VET staff and allocated roles and responsibilities for each section of the Guide.
