TransitAction Project: Final Dissemination Event

The TransitAction project drew to a close end of October and the partners celebrated the production of the project deliverables in a Transnational Partners Meeting and final dissemination event on 25th October in Brussels.

In cooperation with GTB, the final dissemination event was organized with 3 main objectives:

  • To promote both Intellectual Outputs IO1/IO2) of the project;
  • To raise awareness on youth unemployment and unemployment of Young Adults with Autism;
  • To encourage networking among stakeholders.

The event was designed so that participants, particularly Transition Coaches could hear from a practical perspective and discuss how they can use and incorporate both project deliverables in their own methodology and intervention. The programme for the event included presentations on:

  • the Online Platform, its development and updates since its launch (Futuro Digitale)
  • the E-learning modules, their development, and information on how to best use them (GTB, AUTIMATIC, Theotokos Foundation, URI, REHAB)
  • the overview of the project and of its methodology (EPR)
  • testimony, success story and explanation of rights and challenges by a peer mentor (EU Council of Autistic People EUCAP)
  • Neurodiversity good practice by employers (Deloitte, GTB partnership)
  • EU framework, policies and legislation to support the rights of people with disabilities into education, training and work (European Disability Forum, European Social and Economic Committee EESC)
  • A session was dedicated to Transition Coaches sharing best practices in supporting YAwA through transition as well as young adults’ unemployment, YAwA unemployment and the role of supported employment (Transition Coach GTB).
  • There was an opportunity for participants to network, particularly Transition Coaches, so that they may form an informal support network after the project.

In addition to the final dissemination event in Brussels, mulitplier events have been held in each partner country including in Flanders, Slovenia, Greece and Ireland, to share the project results and to build capacity and networks The project partnership continues to explore potential future cooperation amongst stakeholders especially, among European-level organisations. Currently, collaboration is being explored with the Commission’s DG for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion, some MEPs in the Committee on Employment and Social Affairs (EMPL) and the EU Intergroup for Disability.

The Intellectual Outputs have been designed with a long-term perspective, in order to produce long lasting effects at local, regional, national and European level and the platform will be regularly updated by the partners to maintain relevance after the project ends.
