* This webinar is open to the public.
What does it mean to age with a disability in today’s Europe? What challenges do individuals, families, professionals and systems face, and how can we better support inclusive and rights-based approaches across the life course?
These questions were at the heart of a recent webinar organised within the Erasmus+ project GOLD. The event attracted significant interest, bringing together almost 100 participants from across Europe, including practitioners, policymakers, civil society organisations and other stakeholders, for a highly interactive and engaging session.
Throughout the webinar, project partners shared insights on:
- What ageing with a disability means and the key challenges people face as they grow older.
- Inspiring practices and practical tools that support smooth transitions and inclusive support systems.
- The GOLD Learning Pathway and upcoming capacity‑building opportunities for professionals.
- Emerging EU‑level, rights‑based policy recommendations, enriched by feedback gathered directly from participants.
The session combined expert contributions, real‑life examples, and dynamic exchanges, highlighting the growing momentum around ensuring that people with disabilities can age with dignity, autonomy and full participation in society.
