Quality and Excellence in services for persons with disabilities: Aiming at a European, but locally meaningful, Quality Assurance in Greece

On December 8, EPR held a National Awareness Raising Event (NARE) in Athens, Greece focusing on quality and excellence in services for persons with disabilities both within the European and Greek context. The event was co-hosted by The NET, a network of services to persons with disabilities in Greece, supported by the Stelios Foundation, and was under the auspices of the Greek Ministry of Social Cohesion and Family.

The event brought together a diverse group of European, national, regional and local stakeholders, experts on services for persons with disabilities, policy making for social services, and on continuous improvement and quality assurance. It was an opportunity to learn from experts, to discuss about the quality of services in Greece and in Europe, engage in meaningful exchanges, and hear proven practices on the topic.

Στις 8 Δεκεμβρίου, το EPR διοργάνωσε μια Εθνική Εκδήλωση Ευαισθητοποίησης (NARE) στην Αθήνα, Ελλάδα. Η εκδήλωση συνδιοργανώθηκε από το ΔΙΚΤΥΟ, το πανελλήνιο Δίκτuο Παρόχων Υπηρεσιών για Άτομα με Αναπηρία, με την υποστήριξη του Stelios Foundation και τελούσε υπό την αιγίδα του ελληνικού Υπουργείου Κοινωνικής Συνοχής και Οικογένειας.

Η εκδήλωση συγκέντρωσε μια ποικιλόμορφη ομάδα ευρωπαϊκών, εθνικών, περιφερειακών και τοπικών φορέων, ειδικών σε θέματα υπηρεσιών για άτομα με αναπηρία, χάραξης πολιτικών στον τομέα των κοινωνικών υπηρεσιών, καθώς και σε θέματα συνεχούς βελτίωσης και διασφάλισης ποιότητας.  Ήταν μια ευκαιρία να μάθουμε από ειδικούς, να συζητήσουμε για την ποιότητα των υπηρεσιών στην Ελλάδα και στην Ευρώπη, να συμμετάσχουμε σε ουσιαστικές ανταλλαγές και να ακούσουμε αποδεδειγμένες πρακτικές επί του θέματος.
